Congratulations, Kid

He did it, and proved himself a total class act in the process.

It is too bad he left Seattle and sucks that he had an injury plagued career.

Now I have to hope that A-hole...errr..A-Rod passes Bonds because I can't stand seeing Bonds hold the record.

If only Jr. could have stayed healthy.

Great moment in baseball and for us fans. I respectfully disagree that it was too bad he left Seattle. He wanted out, Safeco is not a homer-friendly park, and he always had family considerations in mind, so playing in his home town with his dad's team was magical for him. Had he been healthy, Griffey would be on course right now to the home run record, might even have had a shot at 800. Leave it to A-Rod to do both of those.

True, so then let's say this: it's too bad that Griffey's hometown was Cincinnati, because those losers have never appreciated him. We fans here in Seattle would NEVER boo him, under any circumstances. In fact, when he came to play in Safeco and hit a homer, everybody went crazy! What city's fans cheer for the opposing team? Cincinnati, you better shape up and start appreciating what you got.

Amen about the Bonds thing. I wish it could be somebody other than A-Rod, because I hate that kid, too.
