Cakes From The Hall Of Justice

I made this cake for my friend Sara's superhero-themed birthday party a few weeks ago. I thought it looked pretty dope, if I do say so myself.

Yes, that is Wonder Woman's golden "lasso of truth" around the base. Real ribbon--not fondant--'cause I got lazy.

Here's the birthday girl, after a busy day of fighting crime in the Seattle Metro region:

That cake is AMAZING!! Have I asked you before if you've considered a Food Network Challenge?

How could you even bear to cut into it? So pretty...

I second Turley Benson and will reiterate my suggestion that you apply for the next Food Network star competition. Truly, you're one of a kind. You can cook AND bake. Screw Rachael Ray...she's got nothing on you.

Sad stuff about the LFP Chapel, huh? I cried all the way through those pics Timo sent out. Sweet memories.

LOVE it! And love your friend's costume. Did you dress up too?

That is one seriously amazing cake. And here's to superheroes with hips!

Jeni--I was so devastated by the news of the church building as well. So many happy memories there...I can't believe it.

Bowman--I dressed up as the Riddler. Every superhero party needs some supervillains. Unfortunately, I can't show any photos of myself on this blog until I lose at least 400 lbs.

I know you've just been waiting for me to comment on this post so you can add something new, right? Okay WonderWoman. Yes, it IS a fabulously beautiful cakey cake. You are one talented woman and I am craving one of those little coconut cream pie things right now.

Write soon, lovely Rand.
